Indie Rocket Science- A Mixtape by MC Lars!

While preparing for his new album MC Lars who can be seen with me here-

 I'm on the left, obviously.

made a mixtape called Indie Rocket Science. It's available for free on his website. It's available in a variety of formats and is really worth a listen. MC Lars is quite possibly the most genuine musician I've ever heard, and it's fun to hear him rap about his excitement while working with his personal heroes and friends, which is exactly what this mixtape is. It features KRS-One,  Rittz, mc chris, Weerd Science, MC Frontalot, Random, Grieves, Sage Francis, Lars' father, and many others.

Listening to the mixtape is just downright fun. And for the bibliophiles and English majors in the crowd Lars has some for you, too. Annabel Lee R.I.P. is one of the most recent in a series of literature-based tracks he's put out. (Others include Hey There Ophelia, Ahab, and Mr. Raven.)

He also pokes fun at himself in a "this is kinda weird that this goes on" way, not a "look at me I'm making fun of myself for being a white rapper, that's so zany!" way. He does this in the track Black and Yellow T-Shirts, where Lars and Frontalot joke about the way indie rappers have to push their merch to make any real money.

So if you're interested in a free album with quite a few laughs, catchy beats, and lots of genuine smart lyrics check out Indie Rocket Science, and pick up Lars' new album Lars Attack! available now.
