But if you love me... where have you been?

So, I've had more girlfriends than I care to count, and I've been with the current one for almost two years. Here's a photograph of us. (Yes, that's a Star Wars tie.)

It's the only relationship I've ever been in where we had a "song." As dopey as the idea is. The song is by one of my favorite bands, the ever-amazing ska band Reel Big Fish.

I first discovered Reel Big Fish when I walked into a pawn shop in Detroit, MI and I saw a copy of their album "Turn The Radio Off" and it was a promo copy. I bought it because I collect such things. If you have a chance to pick up this album- DO IT. I cannot stress this enough. There is no reason anyone should not hear this album. If you're at all into ska this is one of the most amazing listening experiences you could ever have. (Of course, if you're into ska you probably have every Reel Big Fish album, but you know... whatever.

If you don't know what ska is.. first of all shame on you, second of all it's... well, modern ska is basically pop-punk with horns. Hell yeah.

Reel Big Fish makes me laugh because the play some of the most hateful/sad but up-beat songs you could ever imagine, it's sort of their trademark. For instance!

As Vin Diesel once said- I LIVE for this SHIT!

So, I think that's about all I need to say about Reel Big Fish... oh? What is my girl and I's song? This.
