Not violent like this...
Usually more like this.
So, we all know what ICP looks like. That Miracles thing has burned their faces into everyone's mind. They're not the only horrorcore artists who paint their faces I mean...
That's the man I'm talking about today, front and center, with the braids and the bandanna. His name is James Lowery, more commonly known as Anybody Killa, or ABK for short. He's a native American rapper from Detroit, and he has a lisp. No, really. That's it. He's fun, kind of talks about cannabis a bit more than some but hey, I can get behind it. He also uses a lot of gross humor in his music. He likes to think of his music as being spiritual in a way, saying that most of his ideas for songs come from his dreams or from stories his fans tell him. After all- the music belong to his fans as much as it belongs to him. Also, if his right middle fingers looks kind of funny he cut the first digit off working in a car factory. (Her refers to it as his nub, remember that.)
I find his work really interesting because of his lisp. It's really intriguing hearing him work around it in his rhymes and he makes that shit work. Also, this song is incredibly dirty.
Also, that video has nothing to do with the... DAMN YOU YOUTUBE!
I'm gonna go take some fever reducers and pass out in my own phlegm.
Rainbows man?!?! What is there not to understand?!?
ReplyDeleteI love it when rappers have a lisp. I also love that lisp has an s in it.
ReplyDeleteBack to the point though, yeah he works with it pretty well. I can dig it.
Sounds awesome! Hearing his lisp is quite odd at first!
ReplyDeleteYou ever hear of Wesley Willis?
reminds me of a cartoon character
ReplyDeleteIt quite works I think, I'd listen to more of that.
ReplyDeleteI don't know many horror rap artists, good to know about this one. ^_^
ReplyDeleteInteresting stuff. I love how absolutely cute and cuddly NWA look in comparison, lol.
ReplyDeleteI think ive heard these songs on the radio before
ReplyDelete"By the time I finished cutting it it growed again" LOL
ReplyDeleteThe scene in Take me Home Tonight with "Straight Outta Compton", pure gold lol
ReplyDelete@Bersercules Yes, I know who Wesley Willis is. :P
ReplyDeleteHorrorcore rapper Necro also has quite a lisp. He is also the most brutal of the genre. Be that as it may, he is probably the most talented MC to come along in over a decade.
