The First Rap Song

So, I have always had something of a love/hate relationship with rap music. There are plenty of rap artists that I love, and plenty that I can't stand as people or artists. (I'm looking at you, Soulja Boy) As has been seen I love nerdcore rappers like MC Lars and mc chris, but I was never really fond of so-called gangsta rap until one cold winter's day when I was cruising around Detroit with my cousin and he started playing this song.

My opinion of rap music was forever changed. These were beats I could enjoy. So, I started researching rap. Now, the first rap song ever is pretty much universally known to be Rapper's Pradise by Sugarhill Gang. (You can look that shit up on your own, I hate it.) But according to the most credible source I know. The first rap song was actually called I Am The Judge and it's... hilarious. I'm not overly-fond of it, but I do find it quite amusing.

This is seriously the best recording of it I can find.

  1. Eazy-E is the way to go actually. It's not my favorite Eazy track, but it works. How DARE YOU NOT LIKE RAPPER'S DELIGHT! Jk. It can really grow old on you, and it's way too long for a rap song. I respect it because it's a classic but I wouldn't have the mp3.

  2. Eazy E is awesome, real rap. The polar opposite of Lil B.

  3. You should look up the Dynamite Hack cover of the song the Boys in the Hood. It's quite odd.

  4. I don't like almost any rap. There are only few select songs, that I enjoy for some reason.
Like Redrapper's stuff, which is extremely cheesy, but I still like it.
